There are weeks that squeeze you dry.
Down to the last drop.
Meetings that overlap, decisions that weigh on you, urgencies that come without warning, expectations you have to meet and that, often, aren’t even yours. You keep delivering. You keep solving. You keep accelerating. And without realizing it, you’ve left yourself for last.
And then Friday arrives.
And with it, a feeling: the one that tells you that life —or at least your body— is asking for a pause.
But we don’t always listen to ourselves. We keep going. We run. We numb ourselves with screens or with to-do lists that never end.
Today I decided to do it differently.
Today, I decided to stop.
To cast off the moorings.
Not as an escape, but as a choice.I adjusted the sails.
I breathed.
I looked at La Mar —the one that always tells you the truth, even without saying a word—
And I felt my mind loosen, my body thanking me for it.![]()
Disconnecting is not wasting time.
It is regaining your sense of purpose.
It’s giving yourself the space to remember why you do what you do — and for whom.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes…
Slow down.
Turn off the notifications.
Close your eyes.
Come back to yourself.
Because when you stop… you begin to see clearly again.
And yes, disconnecting is also moving forward.
and you?
How do you disconnect on Fridays?
If you feel like doing it by sailing, sharing, breathing in the sea air, and reconnecting with what moves you, you can become part of our community.
